About the Designer

Brianna has adored costumes since she opened her first dress-up box. This love led her to leave her home in the Pacific Northwest to pursue a career in Costume Design in Los Angeles.

Her design philosophy focuses on keeping costumes firmly rooted in character and story. From the most elegant gown to the grimiest villain the audience should feel like they could touch that character. She thinks about clothing from a holistic story point of view and revels in collaborating with directors, actors, and other department heads to make words on a page become living breathing characters.

She has designed 16 feature films; most recently Sean Wang’s debut feature DìDi (弟弟) which premiered to rave reviews at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and won the Audience Award in the US Dramatic competition. Her design work in DìDi (弟弟) was given accolades in outlets like The Guardian, Variety, and Indie Wire. Additionally she has designed a large assortment of shorts, commercials, music videos, and live events. When not working as a Designer she contributes her expertise and work ethic to hosts of other productions that have included Madame Web, Stranger Things, Titans, Doom Patrol, The Oscars, and This is Us.

Outside of her life in costumes Brianna is snowboarding, cooking with friends, life drawing, and just getting outside. In 2020, Brianna began Producing and Directing projects she feels passionate about in her (albeit limited) free time. The first short she produced Raspberry premiered at Sundance in 2021. She plans to make her Directorial debut in 2024 with her short film I Think I’d Like to Stay.
